Case Studies: City of Los Angeles

The Challenge

The internal web team at the City of Los Angeles is responsible for maintaining approximately 75 different web sites. These include the main LACity.org site to individual bureaus, departments, and elected representatives. In an effort to reduce development time and increase the speed at which new content can be deployed, the City of LA contracted with Online Vitality to bring order to their chaotic, everchanging web environment.

The Solution

Online Vitality worked with leaders of the web team to design an overall development strategy that addressed their need for fast development and deployment. Through a series of reusable Oracle Site Studio fragments and templates for site design and contribution, Online Vitality created a foundation on which their internal team can re-use and re-purpose these tools for rapid turnaround times on projects.

Over the course of our extended engagement, we have provided site-specific training for their development team so that they could be brought up to speed on the latest techniques, standards, and upgrades in the Oracle UCM development environment.
